Faces of the final year students of G H Raisoni College of Engineering were beaming with joy. Reason? They were finally graduates! Also, it was the first ever graduation ceremony for the college, which was organised on their college premises. Padma Vibhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar and Director of IIT Delhi, Dr Raghunath Shevgaokar were the chief guests at this convocation ceremony.

We saw the students all excited and many were seen clicking selfies with their friends, flaunting their ceremonial robes and hats with panache. We saw Prachi Moharir on cloud nine as she was the topper of summer'14 batch and won a gold medal for her extraordinary performance. Basking in the glory was Lopamudra Raut, one of the finalists of fbb Femina Miss India 2014, who also completed her graduation in electrical engineering. She said, "I feel very lucky that this year our college has started the convocation trend. Apart from being from the fashion industry, I feel I have made my parents all the more proud by becoming an engineer."
